Platinum Jubilee: Kim Kardashian refused hottest ticket in town
The reality TV star’s desperate pleas to attend Platinum Jubilee events, including the hottest party in town, have been “politely” rejected.
Reality show royalty Kim Kardashian failed to get into the hottest events in London after being refused tickets to the official Platinum Jubilee party and Trooping the Colour.
Kim, 41, — who landed in the UK with her boyfriend Pete Davidson, 28, this week — requested tickets to attend the Platinum Party at Buckingham Palace after the Ministry of Defence reportedly turned the couple down for the Queen’s birthday celebrations at Horse Guards Parade.
But Buckingham Palace also shunned the star and denied her an invite to the official party, as did publicists at the BBC, which will broadcast the shindig on Saturday.

Kim was so determined to attend the Platinum party that she was trying to acquire tickets by other means — and has even said she doesn’t mind if the tickets are ‘not VIP’, the Daily Mail reports, citing a source.
“Kim rarely gets turned down to attend any event, so this has been quite surprising, especially as she doesn’t visit the UK often,” the source said, according to the outlet.
“Kim and Pete love the Royal Family and really wanted to be a part of this special celebration.’
It’s not clear if the Jubilee celebrations were the only reason for the couple’s trip to London.
Music giants including Queen, Diana Ross and Nile Rodgers are scheduled to perform at the Platinum party, while Sir David Attenborough and David Beckham will make appearances.
Some 10,000 tickets were allocated via a public ballot, and 7500 have been given to key workers, those in the Armed Forces, volunteers and charities.
Kim, who made her name on Keeping up the Kardashians, also tried to bag a pair of tickets for her and Pete Davidson to the Queen’s birthday parade at Horse Guards Parade yesterday, The Sun reports.
Kim and her actor hubby wanted to sit and watch the pomp and ceremony of the 90-minute musical parade of the Irish Guards and witness Prince Charles, Prince William and Princess Anne on horseback, according to reports.
An impeccably-placed source told The Sun the Ministry of Defence “politely” turned down Kim’s request for the best seats in the house alongside Meghan and Harry and A-lister royals including Kate Middleton and her three children.
“Kim Kardashian wanted tickets for her and Pete Davidson to attend Trooping the Colour,” the source said.
“The Queen’s birthday parade was the hottest ticket in town as Meghan and Harry joined Kate and William and all the members of the Royal Family.
“But they were turned down as all the tickets had gone to family members of servicemen and military VIPs.
“You can’t wave the celebrity card and bag a seat like you imagine is possible at Wimbledon or the most exclusive restaurants in town.”
“There are some tickets you just can’t buy,” the source added.
“They obviously didn’t grasp that Trooping the Colour is a 260-year-old military parade to celebrate the monarch’s birthday.
“But we don’t need American reality TV stars to make Trooping the Colour A-list.
“The biggest celebrities in the world are already there – the British Royal Family.”
‘The biggest celebrities in town’
The 90-minute bash was dubbed the “hottest ticket in town” as the Royal Family including Meghan, Harry, Kate, Camilla, Beatrice and the younger family members gathered together to watch the show.
Millions also watched the event which marked the beginning of the four-day Bank Holiday on television in the UK with images beamed around the globe.
Music was played as The Prince of Wales took the royal salute and inspected the troops of the Household Division on behalf of the Queen.
He was joined on the parade ground by The Duke of Cambridge and The Princess Royal on horseback.
Camilla and Kate travelled with George, Charlotte and Louis, from Buckingham Palace in an open-topped Barouche carriage.
They were followed by Edward and Sophie and their children Lady Louise and Viscount Severn also in a Barouche.
The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester arrived with Anne’s husband Tim Laurence in a Balmoral Landau carriage.
The Duchess of Cambridge raised the glamour stakes wearing a white Alexander McQueen dress and matching Philip Treacy hat.
More than 1200 officers and soldiers from the Household Division will put on a display of military pageantry on Horse Guards Parade, together with hundreds of Army musicians and around 240 horses.
Horse Guards Parade has hosted Trooping the Colour for more than 260 years and also hosted Beach Volleyball at the London 2012 Olympics.
Animal rights activists linked to eco-protesters Extinction Rebellion were arrested after disrupting the start of Platinum Jubilee celebrations by storming The Mall, the avenue that leads to Buckingham Palace, during the Trooping the Colour parade.
Footage showed police making arrests after the protesters jumped over barriers as Grenadier Guards marched forwards.
It was the first Trooping at Horse Guards Parade since Covid-19 struck.
