Pete Davidson makes veiled public dig at Kanye West
The Kim–Kanye–Pete love triangle continues, with SNL star Davidson taking a veiled public dig at his wife’s troubled ex.
Pete Davidson seemingly took aim at Kanye West with a subtle post to his newly reactivated Instagram page.
While he has yet to post anything, Davidson – who’s been dating West’s estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, since October – added a link in his bio that leads to a YouTube video of comedian Rupert Pupkin reciting his famous quote, “Better to be king for a night than a schmuck for a lifetime.”
Fans surmised that the video was a swipe at West and they flocked to the comments section to commend the comedian for gracefully handling his beef with West.

“Stand tall Pete, we’ve always loved YOU! Much support and loven [sic] the shade …. And reflection in the shades as well! Go Pete Go!” one person wrote in the comments section.
“Pete coming in with hella shade and I am here for it. Slay King,” a second person wrote.
“Well said Pete. You are handling this situation as a man with class which is more than I can say for Ye. So glad Kim has found someone who treats her well and who she can be herself around,” added another.
“Damnnnnnn, shots fired! Nice job being super classy about this, Pete. Kanye is a fool,” a fan agreed.
“Agreed Pete – ya a f**ken legend mate,” one more said.
The Saturday Night Live star rejoined Instagram earlier this month after having deactivated his account for four years. A day later, West followed the comedian’s account.
Davidson’s subtle jab comes amid the Yeezy founder’s tirade against Kardashian as they continue to battle out their divorce.
The rapper recently called Davidson a “d**khead” and gave him the demeaning moniker “Skete” as he continued to make fun of and threaten the comedian on social media. West also rapped about wanting to “beat” his “ass ” on his recent song Eazy.
Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021 after seven years of marriage. In January 2022, West – who legally change his name to Ye – claimed that his ex was keeping him from seeing their children North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2. He also said his daughter North had a TikTok account with Kardashian against his will.
In a rare move, Kardashian responded with a statement, calling on West to knock it off.
“It saddens me that Kanye continues to make it impossible every step of the way,” she said at the time, adding, “I wish to handle all matters regarding our children privately and hopefully he can finally respond to the third attorney he has had in the last year to resolve any issues amicably.”
She continued: “Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all.”
West also posted screenshots of his private texts with Kardashian, where she was seen pleading with him to stop criticising Davidson because it could put the comedian in danger.
West recently objected to Kardashian’s request to be declared legally single amid their divorce. He also trolled Kardashian, using her SNL monologue in his Donda 2 performance this week.
Despite West’s constant bullying, Davidson and Kardashian are going strong and spent Valentine’s Day together. West attempted to win her back by sending a truckload of roses but to no avail.
Kardashian also recently opened up about putting her happiness first, saying she’s “Team me”.
Davidson and Kardashian have been romantically linked since October 2021, when they were spotted at Knott’s Berry Farm together.
