Paparazzo plunges into a dam trying to snap Jeffreys-Stefanovic wedding

ONE paparazzo went to insane lengths in an effort to get the perfect snap of the Stefanovic-Jeffreys wedding - and Sylvia is calling them out.

IT WAS dubbed the “wedding of the year,” and every paparazzo in town was jostling to get the best pictures as Nine presenters Sylvia Jeffreys and Peter Stefanovic tied the knot in Kangaroo Valley over the weekend.

But there was one who maybe took it a bit too far.

Bride Jeffreys has called out an exceptionally overzealous pap on Instagram, posting a picture of a car partially submerged in a dam.

She captioned the photo: “Shout out to the determined pap who was this keen to crash our wedding (no pun intended). Not sure how you managed to drive into a dam ... but hope you’ve dried out.”

Nine newsreader Jayne Azzopardi wrote in a comment that it was the same guy who had been tailing her and some other guests on their way to the venue.

“This is the guy who was following our bus to your wedding @sylviajeffreys. he had his own cameraman filming him while he snapped!” she said.

Despite the constant hover of paparazzi, the whole event reportedly went off without a hitch.

It was a tightly guarded affair spanning over two days on the gorgeous Ooralba Estate, attended by a host of celebrities, including Karl Stefanovic and Lisa Wilkinson.

On Monday, the pair took to Today to thank viewers and share their own pictures from the event — along with a very generous serve of plugs for all the brands involved.

Asked by news.com.au about any links between the couple’s Kangaroo Valley wedding and Today’s decision to film the entire show nearby on the Monday, a Nine spokesman said:

“The wedding of Sylvia and Peter was on the Saturday, our We Love Australia week doesn’t start until Monday so both events were planned separately. There were no deals done for the location, services provided for the wedding or anything else, for inclusion in the coverage on the Today Show, that coverage was in response to media coverage of the events including your publications front pages on Sunday and then feedback from our viewers who wanted to know more,” they said.

“Sylvia and Peter consciously chose to do no commercial deals around their wedding.”
