ORLANDO Bloom has finally broken his silence on that full-frontal Italian sail in August last year, denying the snaps were a publicity stunt.

“I have been photographed a million times in a million ways. I have a good radar,” the Pirates of the Caribbean star told Elle UK of the nude paddle boating expedition with then-girlfriend Katy Perry.

“We’d been completely alone for five days. Nothing around us. There was no way anyone could get anything. So I had a moment of feeling free,” he continued.

Bloom’s moment of freedom was anything but once NSFW snapshots of the 40-year-old actor ultimately went viral.

“I wouldn’t have put myself in that position if I’d thought it would happen,” Bloom shared, later quipping, “Note to self: you’re never free. Ha!”

Bloom has embraced a new form of independence, however, since splitting from pop star Perry, 32, earlier this year.

“We’re friends,” Bloom said of Perry, without referencing her directly. “It’s good. We’re all grown-up. She happens to be someone who is very visible, but I don’t think anybody cares what I’m up to. Nor should they. It’s between us.”

He was most recently linked to brunette beauty Erin McCabe.
