Oblivious restaurant worker turns away Adam Sandler in viral TikTok video
A TikTok user has gone viral for accidentally turning away actor Adam Sandler from a restaurant, oblivious to who he was.
It was an International House of Pancakes mistake of Big Daddy proportions.
And now, an employee of the popular breakfast restaurant chain has egg on her face.
Garnering more than 9 million TikTok views, IHOP hostess Dayanna Rodas is sizzling on the viral griddle after failing to recognise and accommodate comedian Adam Sandler when the masked 50 First Dates actor popped in for some flapjacks.
“Pleaseee come back,” a crushed Rodas begged in the caption of her TikTok post, which featured security camera footage of her embarrassing encounter with Sandler, 54.
“Not realising its Adam Sandler and telling him it's a 30min wait and him [of course] leaving [because] hes not going to wait 30mins for IHOP,” she added.

But it’s understandable that, for Rodas, it didn’t immediately click that she was turning the Click star away.
Despite boasting an estimated net worth of $420 million, Sandler was sporting a casual, incognito look at the time of the incident. Rather than flexing in the finest of fashions or dripping in jewels like most Hollywood hotshots, the Brooklyn native was wearing a red sweatshirt hoodie, basketball shorts and sneakers.
Not exactly typical A-lister apparel.

And instead of dropping his bellringing name for preferential pancake treatment, Sandler – obviously not wanting to wait a half-hour for a Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruity – quietly turned on his heel and left the establishment.
Fans of the Waterboy bigwig – whose movies also include Uncut Gems, Punch-Drunk Love and The Wedding Singer – took to Rodas’ TikTok comments section, praising the actor for always playing the good-guy role, even off-camera.
“I used to serve him regularly,” one commenter said of Sandler. “Never served a nicer person.”
“Instead of pulling the I’m famous and I get what I want card he just left love to see it,” another wrote.
No stranger to spiralling through social-media timelines, Sandler – married since 2003 to Jackie Sandler, with whom he has two kids, Sadie, 14, and Sunny, 12 – went viral a few months ago for celebrating the 25th anniversary of his Happy Gilmore character.
