Not OK: Readers boycott British OK! magazine after outrage over 'Kate baby weight' cover

A BRITISH women's magazine has been blasted for featuring "Kate's Post-Baby Weight Loss Regime" on its cover less than 24 hours after she gave birth.

A BRITISH women's magazine has been blasted for featuring "Kate's Post-Baby Weight Loss Regime" on its cover less than 24 hours after she gave birth.

OK! emblazoned its cover with the "appalling" teaser which featured an interview with Kate's trainer.

"She's super fit - her stomach will shrink straight back" the cover also said alongside a promotion for a six-page "exclusive Duchess diet and shape-up plan".

Tamsin Kelly, editor of Parentdish, told The Huffington Post UK that she was "appalled" by OK! Magazine's cover.

"For this magazine cover line to be in UK shops on the very same day Kate left hospital with her newborn baby is contemptible."

"Real women will be recovering from childbirth, bonding with their babies, experiencing tiredness they have never known before, and extreme emotional highs and lows. They really don't need the pressure of squeezing back into their pre-pregnancy jeans from a silly celeb magazine when managing to get out of the door with a new baby sometimes seems like mission impossible."

British TV presenter Katy Hill was so disgusted by the cover, she has started a campaign to boycott the magazine using the hashtag #DontBuyOK.

She also tweeted a picture of herself two months after giving birth to show how real women look.

Some women also took to Twitter to also complain about the copy inside the magazine which stated : "The question on everyone's lips is not just the name, sex or weight of the baby, but also how Kate plans to return to her pre-pregnancy glory."
