Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland has spoken out about being rushed to hospital after feeling like she was “being choked”.

Sarah Hyland has revealed she spent the entire weekend in the hospital — but still has no idea what was wrong.

“Long story short, I went in because I was feeling like I was being choked from whatever’s in the house,” she told fans via her Instagram story, adding she “couldn’t breathe” and “had chest pains.”

The 28-year-old Modern Family actress decided to go into the emergency room after work on Friday night and was released on Monday.

“They ran multiple tests, multiple times, and there’s nothing physically wrong with me,” she said. “So wonder why I was there.”

Hyland has battled serious health issues in recent years, including endometriosis and ongoing kidney issues.

In December 2018, she had her second kidney transplant from her brother Ian after the first — a donation from her father — started to fail.

Her health woes, which now include endometriosis, have led to depression.

“I was very depressed. When a family member gives you a second chance at life, and it fails, it almost feels like it’s your fault. It’s not. But it does,” the actress told Self magazine.

“For a long time, I was contemplating suicide because I didn’t want to fail my little brother like I failed my dad.”
