Miley Cyrus' parents Billy Ray and Tish announce divorce
MILEY Cyrus' parents Billy Ray and Tish have announced they are splitting, three years after calling off their divorce to work things out.
MILEY Cyrus' parents are calling off their marriage.
The 20-year-old star's mother Tish filed divorce papers from Billy Ray Cyrus citing "irreconcilable differences", according to TMZ.
Three years ago Billy filed for divorce, but the pair stayed together to try to work things out.
Billy and Tish have been married for 19 years and share five children together, including Miley.
All of the kids are adults now except for 13-year-old Noah.
Tish requested full custody of Noah, offering Billy visitation rights.
She also wants spousal support and for Billy to reimburse her attorney's fees.
It appears that the rest of the family didn't see this separation coming.
"@billyraycyrus since your texts and email obviously aren't working would you like to talk like this. (sic)" Miley wrote on Twitter.
A few years ago Billy Ray admitted his relationship with Miley became strained and confessed fame had "destroyed" his family.
Despite that he expressed his undying love for his brood.
"It is very important to me to work on mending my family right now," he told People at the time.
"[My comments were] explosive, and unintentionally so. My family is the most important thing I have, and we are working together to make sure our future is stronger and healthier.
"It is all a learning process. And we thank everyone for their support and respect of our privacy as we sort through very important family issues."
Miley's relationship with her fiancé Liam Hemsworth is also rumoured to be on the rocks.
