Matthew Perry drops multiple sex revelations in new memoir
The Friends star has dropped multiple sex confessions in his new book, including a high-profile hook-up and his bedroom disaster.
Matthew Perry thought for “years” that his “penis didn’t work” – until Carrie Fisher’s half-sister Tricia Fisher changed his mind.
The Friends alum has dropped multiple private revelations in his memoir, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing, and the latest to emerge concerns his sex life – or lack thereof in his younger years.
Perry, now 53, told how he “tried to have sex” as a teenager but “couldn’t perform” as he drank “six beers beforehand”.
Instead of making “the correlation between the booze and [his] private parts,” the actor considered himself “impotent”.

Perry – who said he started abusing alcohol as a teenager – wrote, “I was walking around the planet thinking sex was something for other people. For a long time.
“Sex sounded awfully fun, but it was not in my arsenal.”
However, when Perry began dating Fisher, now 53, in the late ’80s and told her about his “shameful tale,” she reassured him that his arousal problems weren’t “going to happen again” and “led [him] back to bed”.
“Sure enough … sheer glory for two whole minutes,” he quipped in the book.
Perry joked that he repaid the actress for her kindness by “sleeping with almost every woman in Southern California”.
In his memoir, which was released on Tuesday, the Golden Globe nominee details many of his relationships, including his split from Julia Roberts in 1995.
“Dating Julia Roberts had been too much for me. I had been constantly certain that she was going to break up with me,” he said of why he ended the relationship.
“I was not enough; I could never be enough; I was broken, bent, unlovable,” Perry added. “So instead of facing the inevitable agony of losing her, I broke up with the beautiful and brilliant Julia Roberts.”
Perry also reflected on a make out with then-married Valerie Bertinelli, as well as a date with Cameron Diaz that resulted in a punch to the face.
The book also reveals emotional stories about his lengthy battle with drug and alcohol abuse, which nearly cost him his life.
