FROM lace to leather, Melissa Hoyer has the low-down on tonight's Logies fashion.

A charge of Aussie designers and not their international counterparts will be the red carpet choice for guests at tonight's TV 'night of nights', the Logie awards.

Ruby rug faves Steven Khalil and Paolo Sebastian have designed over a dozen glam gowns between them with hues of black, cinnamon and a few pops of red the state of style play.

With Australian Fashion Week kicking off in Sydney on Monday morning, with Camilla & Marc, Alex Perry, By Johnny and Romance Was Born the star shows of day one, the commitment our TV faces are giving to local fashion names will give the industry a much needed boost.

Other popular designers being given a Logies run come Sunday night include Leona Edmiston, Collette Dinnigan, Jayson Brunsdon, Maticevski, Johanna Johnson, Charlie Brown and Aurelio Costarella.

Myer’s chief ambassador Jennifer Hawkins will announce the winner of retailers ‘Best Dressed Logies’ competition, selected by viewers who watch the telecast and can vote (in PJs and uggies) from the comfort of the lounge at home.
