ELIZABETH Hurley and Shane Warne could face problems over their $10 million property.

The actress and her sports star fiancé own a 13-bedroom mansion in Herefordshire, England, which they paid for in cash.

Liz and Warnie's relationship is currently on the rocks, with reports they have called off the engagement.

Hurley was photographed in London for the second day in a row looking sombre and without her sapphire engagement ring.

Warnie was seen jetting out of Melbourne with his children, en route to the English capital, as insiders say the couple, dubbed "Shurley", will reconcile.

But if the rumours of the couple's split prove to be true, sources close to the pair have said neither will be willing to give up the house.

"They both love the property so neither would want to relinquish it," a source told British newspaper The Mirror.

The property, Donnington Hall at Ledbury, is under both of their names and the Land Registry deeds show it was paid for in cold hard cash.

The Grade II listed Georgian mansion is sprawled across 187 areas of land, of which 46 acres are parkland and landscaped gardens.

The lavish love-nest also boasts five bathrooms, stables, tennis courts and a private lake.

Although no split has been officially confirmed, the pair took to Twitter yesterday to send out mixed messages about the state of their relationship.

Warnie vehemently denied the couple had given up on their three-year relationship.

"Some of the reports re EH & me r absolute rubbish. Yes we're sorting through some (private) issues. But we're not throwing the towel in yet (sic)," he tweeted to his 1.3million followers.

Hurley seemed a bit less optimistic and apologised to her fans.

"Apologies to loyal followers for Twitter silence on recent events. Too raw & personal to share right now (sic)," she posted.

The couple got engaged in September 2011, with the the 44-year-old former cricketer presenting the 48-year-old actress with a stunning sapphire ring.
