Lindsay Lohan jokes about drink driving convictions in bizarre new ad
THE troubled starlet is now the face of ‘Lawyer.com’ — and spends her ad campaign joking about her history of drink driving convictions.
THE latest in Lindsay Lohan’s long line of strange gigs sees the former teen starlet joking about her history of drink driving convictions.
Mean Girls star Lohan, 31, is the new face of online legal service Lawyer.com, and posted her first ad for the company on her Instagram account overnight.
“When Lawyer.com first reached out to me, I was confused and a little scared, because I thought I was in trouble,” she says in the ad.
“But when they asked me to be their spokesperson, I was intrigued. After meeting with the team, I realised, Lawyer.com is just about helping people. From getting a DUI — let’s not pretend I didn’t get one. Or two, or three, or ... some others ...” she says with a laugh.
Lohan has indeed been charged with driving under the influence on more than one occasion — three times in 2007 alone, amid a long and chequered legal history that has also included jail stints, court-ordered ankle bracelets and frequent car accidents.
Lohan sunnily joking about her repeated habit of driving while drunk makes the Lawyer.com ad perhaps her strangest gig since this surreal 2009 campaign for fashion label Fornarina:
Say it with us: “Click. Flash. Wow. Bang. Wink. Smack. Fornarina. Splash. Smash. Crash. Glam. Pink. Heart. Fornarina.”
Poetry.
Once one of Hollywood’s most bankable young stars, Lohan now focuses on other business ventures, including her role as part-owner of an Athens nightclub. She has hit the headlines in recent months for coming out in defence of both disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein and US President Donald Trump.
