Liam Payne got sad news days before death

It’s been revealed that the former One Direction singer received some heartbreaking news in the days leading up to his tragic death.

Liam Payne’s record label reportedly axed him in the days leading up to his tragic death in Argentina.

The 31-year-old singer had signed with Capitol Records, owned by Universal Music, in 2016 after One Direction went on an indefinite hiatus.

“Liam’s advance was massive and he didn’t recoup [it],” a source told the Daily Mail.

“Out of all of the One Direction boys, Liam was on the wrong path musically.”

Payne released his debut solo album, LP1, in 2019 and his sophomore album was reportedly put on hold before his label formally cut him from the roster.

According to the Mail, his publicity team had also resigned earlier this month.

The Strip That Down singer died instantly from multiple injuries sustained in his fall from a third-floor hotel balcony that led to “internal and external haemorrhaging,” preliminary autopsy results have shown.

Two forensic pathologists reached the conclusions during a post-mortem on Thursday in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The autopsy report showed Payne may have been unconscious when he fell to his death.

Universal Music posted a tribute to the star on Thursday, saying they were “devastated” by the news.“His legacy will live on through his music and the countless fans he inspired and who adored him,” the statement added.

“We send our deepest condolences to Liam’s family and loved ones.”

Before his sudden passing, it’s been claimed that Payne was also “extremely overwhelmed by all of the legal issues” with his ex-fiancee, Maya Henry, who had reportedly sent him a cease-and-desist letter last week.

The model, 23, also recently posted a TikTok video alleging that her ex - who was in a new relationship with Katie Cassidy at the time of his death - had been continuing to contact her and her family.

Addressing the situation on a podcast, released just days before Payne died, Henry claimed he had been using his declining mental health as a “manipulation tactic” to get to her.

“He would always message me ever since we broke up [saying], ‘Oh, I’m not well,’” she claimed on The Internet Is Dead.

“He would always play with death and be like, ‘Well, I’m going to die. I’m not doing well.’”

Payne was reportedly acting “erratically” and trashing his hotel room before he died.

He was allegedly causing such a scene that the hotel manager called emergency services shortly before his death as he feared for the singer’s life.

The eerie and entire phone call between a concerned hotel worker who flagged he was “afraid” for Payne’s life and an emergency responder has also been released.

Reuters has reported on the recording and translated the call into English, where an anonymous hotel employee who works at CasaSur Hotel rang and flagged that Payne was being destructive.

“When he is conscious, he is breaking the whole room,” he said.

“We need you to send someone please.”

When the emergency responder asked if Payne was under the influencer of alcohol or drugs the hotel worker replied, “Yes that is correct”.

“We need to you send someone urgently because well, I don’t know if the guest’s life is at risk. He has a room with a balcony,” he said.

“We are a little afraid he will do something that will put his life at risk.”

According to Argentinian publication La Nacion, sources close to the investigation also claimed that Payne’s body was found alongside “a bottle of whiskey, a lighter and a cellphone.”
