Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus awkwardly clash in resurfaced red carpet clip

An extremely awkward resurfaced red carpet clip of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth shows the start of the former couple’s downfall.

A resurfaced clip from February 2019 shows an awkward clash between Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, only two weeks after tying the knot.

While walking the red carpet for a Vanity Fair Oscars after-party, the video posted by @popcultureangel sees Miley, 28, attempting to twerk on Liam, 31.

As the Hannah Montana star begins, Hemsworth quickly stops her, stepping away from his wife looking visibly uncomfortable.

“Don’t do it. Don’t do it,” he begged. “You’re scaring everyone on the carpet.”

The video was recorded six months before they filed for divorce.

The same Instagram account shared another clip from April showing deepening tensions between the couple as the year went on.

While attending the Avengers: Endgame premiere, Miley went to pose for the camera before her husband wrapped his arms around her waist. Quickly, an annoyed Miley shoves her husband’s hand away while he looks embarrassed.

Miley and Liam were married for eight months, but had an on-again, off-again relationship that went over the course of ten years.

The Australian actor is now dating a fellow Aussie, model Gabriella Brooks.

Earlier this week, the younger Hemsworth sent fans wild when he uploaded a rare selfie to Instagram.

In the new post, captioned “haircut?”, a shirtless Liam looks worlds away from his usually polished self. Instead he showed off long, rather unruly sun-kissed locks.

Fans didn’t seem to mind, with many giving their seal of approval to the star’s dishevelled look.

Liam’s girlfriend of just over one year chipped in, calling him “Rapunzel”.

Gabriella, a 24-year-old model, and 31-year-old Liam have been inseparable since their romance began back in January 2020. The loved-up pair have been enjoying the quiet life in Byron Bay. They have been spotted a number of times hitting the beach and appear besotted with each other.

Liam and Gabriella are understood to have started dating four months after his divorce from Miley was filed.
