Lady Gaga caught on camera dropping big personal news at Olympics
Lady Gaga has been caught on camera casually dropping some news to the French Prime Minister that’s sent fans into a frenzy.
It seems Lady Gaga just let slip some big personal news at the Paris Olympics – she’s engaged to her partner, Michael Polansky.
Gaga was overheard dropping the big news while she was in the audience for an Olympic event, chatting to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal.
In a clip that surfaced on social media, Gaga could be heard introducing the French PM to her “fiance, Michael” – seemingly unaware, or unfussed, that she was being filmed.
Gaga and her entrepreneur fiance were first seen kissing at a 2020 New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas, and went “official” shortly afterwards when they stepped out for the 2020 Super Bowl together.
“My dogs and the man that I love are my whole life,” Gaga told The Hollywood Reporter in November 2021, but outside of a few public pronouncements like that, they’ve largely kept their relationship under wraps.
News that Gaga’s now referring to her partner of at least four years as her “fiance” shouldn’t come as a total surprise – back in April, she sparked rumours of an engagement when she was spotted with a huge diamond ring on her ring finger.
Still, this apparent confirmation has sent fans into a frenzy.
“Honestly couldn’t be happier for her, she seems just so full of love and happiness and her career and personal life seem to be in sync for the first time since… maybe ever?” wrote one fan.
“I JUST FELL TO MY KNEES,” one fan tweeted.
“I love that so much for her,” another exclaimed.
Despite being one of the most famous people in the world, Gaga has largely managed to keep her dating life out of the public eye throughout her career: Before starting her relationship with Polansky, she dated talent agent Christian Carino for two years.
Before that came perhaps her most public relationship, a five-year romance with actor Taylor Kinney, which ended in 2016 (the pair met when he played her love interest in the music video for her single You And I).
Gaga is in Paris after providing one of the highlights of Saturday’s Olympics opening ceremony, performing the French cabaret number Mon Truc en Plume on the banks of the Seine river.
