Kylie Jenner shows off excessive Christmas presents on social media, sparking backlash
Kylie Jenner took to social media to flaunt her expensive Christmas gifts, but social media were especially outraged over the extravagant gift for her one-year-old daughter.
Self-made billionaire Kylie Jenner, 21, doesn’t mind flaunting her fortune.
The world’s youngest billionaire took to social media after Christmas to brag about her expensive haul of presents in an Instagram story she has since deleted.
But her insanely lavish gifts were just part of the gratuitous display of wealth the cosmetics mogul teased her fans with — starting with matching emerald green satin Ralph & Russo couture gowns for herself and daughter Stormi they wore for Christmas Eve to the annual Kardashian/Jenner party at Kourtney Kardashian’s house.
Jenner wore a collar of what appeared to be gigantic emeralds — and matching nails.
Jenner did share video of her spending some quality time with Stormi in the kitchen Christmas baking cookies, with the two of them wearing matching Christmas onesies.
But her daughter doesn’t seem very interested in the task, and knocks over a bottle of vanilla extract, before she becomes interested in using the cookie cutters and decorating the shapes with brightly-coloured icing and sprinkles.
From the stories she posted on Instagram, Jenner appears to have received several Hermes handbags, a diamond bracelet with matching teardrop diamond earrings.
In the first video she is wearing red and white candy cane striped pyjamas.
She unveils the gifts including purses a-plenty—at least five!: A reflective metallic Hermes handbag; a much larger gold alligator skin Birkin bag; a violet alligator skin Birkin handbag; a bright red leather Birkin purse; and for a more casual look, a red leather and straw purse.
On her wrist flashes a bracelet made of square cut canary diamonds.
But the most astonishing gift appears to be a diamond ring Jenner gifted to her daughter.
Video shows Jenner holding up her barely two-year-old’s hand to focus on what appears to be a diamond ring.
“Stormi got some ice this Christmas too”, posted The Shade Room account.
“Who cares!!!!!” responded one Instagrammer, the comment itself receiving almost 8000 likes.
“She gonna just put it in her mouth, hand me the rock sis,” posted another.
Others were outraged at such a display of wealth when many people are suffering.
“I know people work for their money, but that money could have gone to putting food in someone’s body, paying for medical bills, or planting trees”, posted one Twitter user.

The last image in Jenner’s Instagram story is of a white pony named Olaf after the character in Frozen, with the caption: “OK but stormi had the best Christmas of all time”.
Since she is still just one year old, turning two on February 1, it’s unlikely that she’ll remember any of it.
On the morning of Christmas Eve, Jenner’s ex, Travis Scott, appeared and surprised Stormi with a visit from Poppy, a character from Trolls.
The former couple seem to be doing a good job of co-parenting Stormi.

In image posted to Instagram Stormi can be seen running towards a gigantic playhouse on the grounds of the estate.
It was a gift from matriarch Kris Jenner to her granddaughter and the video of Stormi’s reaction was posted to North West’s Instagram account.
Most people on Instagram were happy for the social media mogul spoiling her little one but others felt resentful about the gratuitous display of wealth.
I'm sure the many homeless in California are happy for Stormi Jenner, who got a full-size playhouse https://t.co/Cb3F280mDB while they are trying to sleep under a garbage bag. #Stormi #KrisJenner #kyliejenner

“Stormi gets everything wtf”, posted one fan.
Another posted, “Stormi didn’t even want that house.”
Another replied, “If she doesn’t want it I’ll take it.”
People are so rude. @KylieJenner can gift her daughter whatever the hell she wants for Christmas. What gives anyone the right to say what she can spend her money on? Plant some trees? Really? She can do both. Can you? #KylieJenner #ChristmasIsOverNow

Oh come on people... I'm not a Kardashian fan by any stretch, but mind your own business.
