Kylie Jenner for Harper’s Bazaar: Makeup billionaire’s on set behaviour revealed
A top magazine has detailed the behaviour of its cover star, Kylie Jenner, saying the billionaire was “late” and didn’t greet anyone.
Kylie Jenner has been painted as a diva by Harper’s Bazaar after the magazine featured her on their July/August cover.
The world’s youngest billionaire, 21, was featured on the front cover of the Arabia issue along with her mother, Kris Jenner, and one-year-old daughter Stormi, in a feature about the family being one of the most empowered in the world.
But the accompanying story didn’t do huge favours for Kylie, who is the founder of her own makeup brand Kylie Cosmetics, in an unusual move on behalf of the publisher.
The story, written by Salma Awwad, details how momager Kris, 62, was “bang on time” to the photo shoot, politely greeting everybody on set and introducing herself — despite having the flu.
Kylie didn’t get quite the same glowing description.
“It’s at least 60 minutes later (and late) before Kylie pulls up in a silver Lamborghini Urus,” the article reads.
“No handshakes, no eye contact, straight to hair and make-up. You’d never guess that they were related.”
The article then quotes Kris as being “armed with a flawless behavioural explanation”.
“I’ve always just been here to be a support system and to be able to guide her along a path business-wise, but she is one million per cent the creative,” Kris told the magazine.
Despite a rocky start, Harper’s Bazaar said Kylie eventually got into the spirit once she finally made it on set, with the young reality star saying “Let’s do this!” as she prepared to pose with her mum and daughter, marking a historic issue featuring three generations of Jenner women.
Kylie, who was only 17 when she started her makeup empire, spoke about her strong bond with her mum.
“When I became a mother, my perspective on life completely changed, and so did how I look at my own mum and appreciate all the things that she’s done for me,” Kylie told the magazine.
“Now I can understand the way that she feels about me, the way that she loves me, and how strong her love is for all her kids, because of how obsessed I am with Stormi.”
It comes after the dramaticKeeping Up With The Kardashians finale aired yesterday, which showed the fallout of the cheating scandal between Khloe Kardashian’s partner Tristan Thompson and Kylie’s best friend, Jordyn Woods.
Kylie tearfully pleaded with her half-sister, Kim Kardashian, to stop bullying Jordyn in cryptic videos she had posted online.
Kylie said to Kim over the phone, “I just feel like we’re bigger than this, we’re better than this. I feel like call her or talk to her in person … We just don’t need to bully anyone.”
Kylie, who had met with Jordyn the night before, continued, “The look in her eye, she’s just obviously going through it. I just don’t think anyone deserves this. We should express everything to each other in person, however we feel.”
Jordyn, Kylie’s former closest friend, was the subject of the Kardashians’ wrath when it emerged she had kissed Tristan, who is the father of Khloe’s baby, True, at a party.
Kylie threw Jordyn out of her home and Jordyn has since been estranged from the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
