Kylie Jenner accused of trying to upstage Hayley Bieber at her wedding

She might be the youngest ever billionaire, but fans of Kylie Jenner have lashed the star for taking her latest fashion choice too far.

It’s an unwritten rule of fashion that all wedding guests should let the bride shine on her big day — and that doesn’t exclude A-listers.

But it appears billionaire Kylie Jenner didn’t get the memo after she turned up to Hailey Baldwin’s wedding to Justin Bieber in a showstopping gold gown by Australian designer J’Aton Couture.

But hey, at least it wasn’t white.

The celebrity power couple tied the knot at a luxurious hotel resort in South Carolina at the weekend with a guest list of 154 stars.

Although Hailey has yet to share a full-length picture of her wedding dress, she teased her fans with a couple of headshots that hinted at her chic sleeveless gown.

In comparison, Kylie — who made headlines yesterday for her reported split from boyfriend Travis Scott — wore an eye-catching gold gown complete with a thigh-high split and plunging neckline.

And needless to say, fans weren’t impressed and were quick to accuse the “rude” star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which is streaming its new season on Foxtel, of trying to upstage the bride.

Despite appreciating Kylie’s stunning frock, one Twitter user wrote: “Kylie’s dress was such an iconic dress but (I don’t know) about wearing it to someone else’s wedding — at that point, that was disrespectful.”

Similarly, another wrote: “Kylie’s dress for the Bieber wedding was nice and all but I’d be livid if one of my guests showed up dressed in that …”

A third replied: “I think Kylie looked amazing but that dress wasn’t appropriate for someone else’s wedding.”

Wow indeed.

So extra.

However, others joked about what they’d do if they were in Hailey’s shoes.

“If someone tries to pull a Kylie Jenner move like this at my wedding … they will kindly be escorted out with a red wine stain down the front of their dress,” one joked.

Another claimed: “If Kylie wore that dress to my wedding, I’d call the police.”

“I would be so p***ed if my friend showed up to my wedding in an extra gold dress like Kylie lol like wtf,” a fourth replied.

Referencing Kylie’s recent break-up, another raged: “So because Kylie is now single she had to dress up like that to someone’s wedding???”

But not everyone was so critical of Kylie’s dress, and many fans jumped to her defence.

Urging users not to pit the two stars against one another, one Twitter user argued: “Nothing wrong with that dress — she looks stunning, stop putting women down.

“Us women are meant to have each other’s backs!”

Another wrote: “Kylie can wear whatever she wants and she didn’t overshadow anyone.

“Hailey was the bride and although we haven’t seen the dress, everyone said that Hailey was the most beautiful there.

“Stop saying Kylie’s dress was inappropriate cause worse things people often wear to weddings.”
