Kristin Davis has had it with face-shaming, with the Sex and the City star confessing she’s “shed tears” over the reaction to her use of fillers.

The And Just Like That actress, 58, recently spoke about being “ridiculed relentlessly” for her use of facial fillers and her physical appearance in general, saying she’s “shed tears” over the trolls.

“I have done fillers and it’s been good and I’ve done fillers and it’s been bad,” she told The Telegraph.

And Davis believes more women would speak up about the work they’ve had done if it weren’t for the fear of similar backlash.

“I think part of the reason that people are not more open is because there is such shaming put on you largely by other women,” she told Entertainment Tonight last week.

“It’s so sad. We have enough problems as it is. We don’t need to shame each other. Like, it’s so much a waste of time, but it does hurt.”

Davis, who plays Charlotte York Goldenblatt on the Max show, added that “everyone can make their own choices” when it comes to their own faces and bodies.

“You don’t criticise everybody else for their choices, or their mistakes or whatever it is. That’s not helping you. It’s not helping them. It’s not helping anybody,” she said.

For her part, Davis has adopted a more “positive” outlook when it comes to her appearance.

“I don’t have to look like how I used to look. When I look in the mirror, I try to remind myself not to see the deficits, you know, because that’s how we’re programmed to see,” she shared.

“Like, you can’t not age. The only way you cannot age is to not be alive, which is not something that I want to happen, obviously.”

Davis isn’t the only And Just Like That star who’s addressed criticism of the cast daring to age in the public eye; Sarah Jessica Parker has slammed the “misogynistic chatter” regarding her natural grey roots, while the show’s hair department head, Nakoya Yancey, previously deemed such cruel comments “offensive” and “superficial” in an interview with Page Six Style.

Kim Cattrall, for her part, recently said she’s “all about battling ageing in every way I can.”
