Kris Humphries auctioned off Kim Kardashian's $2 million engagement ring Tuesday - for a paltry $749,000 (AU$785k).

Christie's had listed the 20.5-carat monstrosity as "Impressive Diamond Ring" in its Magnificent Jewels auction.

It was revealed last month that Humphries, 28, was intending on selling the ring after their bitter divorce was finalised earlier this year.

Humphries has had no use for the behemoth bauble since splitting with Kim in 2011, after just 72 days of marriage.

The Boston Celtics basketball star will reportedly donate a portion of the proceeds to charity.
