The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star said she “started crying” when Kanye West told her to throw out clothes and shoes when helping her overhaul her look.
West is credited with refining Kardashian’s dress sense, making her ditch tacky outfits for chic pieces from designers including Givenchy, Balmain and Celine.
So what was West’s advice? He told Kim to “dress sexier”.
Speaking to US morning TV show Live! With Kelly And Michael, Kardashian said West then gave her an “entire room filled with new clothes” to define her new style.
“When we first started dating, he went through my closet, he put everything he thought wasn’t cool enough in a pile,” Kardashian said, according to the Daily Mail.
“It really helped me fall in love with fashion. I eventually did get rid of all that stuff, but at the time I couldn’t see it.”
She also confessed that West had told her to change her outfit before appearing on Live! With Kelly And Michael, Daily Mail reports, saying their relationship is “just like being married to your best friend”.
“He was right, it was a little too revealing ... I really do trust his opinion.”
