Brandon Bernard will be executed in 5 hours and all I can think about is his family and children and how they will feel when their loved one is gone. ð¢ð

In addition, Kardashian-West was tweeting about everything she had learnt about Bernard, including his love of crocheting.
Something special I learned about #BrandonBernard is that in addition to his work with youth, he also really likes to crochet. He told me this week he wishes he had more time before his execution so he could crochet me a blanket.

Terrible news from the 7th circuit:

IT IS ORDERED that the Emergency Motion for Stay of Execution Pending Appeal is
DENIED.
This is why judges matter. #SaveBrandonBernard
2 hours until Brandon Bernard is executed. My heart breaks for everyone involved, including the victims families and in no way am I diminishing the loss their family has been through.
— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) December 10, 2020
I stand by what I have always said, I can empathize and feel pain for the victims and their families. Killing Brandon will not bring them back and I believe in my heart of hearts killing him isnât right. What Brandon did was wrong, but killing him wonât make things right.

1 hour until Brandon Bernard will be executed. Itâs #HumanRightsDay and here in the United States we are executing someone who was 18 at the time of the crime, was not the shooter and has rehabilitated himself. So shameful. ð

They are premeditating his murder and thereâs nothing we can do about it!!!

Kardashian-West also spoke with Bernard, calling it the “hardest call” she’s ever made.
“We didn’t say goodbye bc we wanted to be hopeful that we would talk again, we said talk to you soon!” she concluded.
Just spoke to Brandon for what will likely be the last time. Hardest call Iâve ever had. Brandon, selfless as always, was focused on his family and making sure they are ok. He told me not to cry because our fight isnât over. ð¢

When he told me heâs claustrophobic and they offered to give him a shot of Sedative to calm him down before they put him in the chair and he just didnât want to panic, I literally lost it. I had to mute my phone so he wouldnât hear me cry like that ð

According to court documents, Bernard was not an “architect” of the robbery plan that eventually led to the deaths of Todd and Stacie Bagley on the Fort Hood military base in Killeen, Texas, as USA Today reports.
Christopher Vialva, who was an accomplice, shot both victims in the head.
Bernard later lit their vehicle on fire while the Bagleys were still inside it.
An autopsy on the pair revealed that Todd Bagley was killed by a gunshot wound, but Stacie Bagley’s cause of death was smoke inhalation.
After his execution, Kardashian-West tweeted about how disappointed she was in the outcome.
I could go on and on about what an amazing person Brandon was. I do know he left this earth feeling supported and loved and at peace. ð

This just has to change: our system is so fucked up
We would talk about music a lot and how heâs gotten into classical music lately to soothe his soul. Heâs a master at crochet amd would laugh that if someone just saw his cell they would think it was a grandmas cell.

The star insisted that Bernard was “reformed” and “sorry”.

Iâm so messed up right now.
They killed Brandon.
He was such a reformed person. So hopeful and positive until the end. More importantly he is sorry, so sorry for the hurt and pain he has caused others.

Vialva and Bernard were both sentenced to death, with Vialva executed by lethal injection on Sept. 24.
Over the past two years, Kim has become a strong force in criminal justice reform while studying to be a lawyer.
