Kim Kardashian ‘meeting with divorce lawyers’ amid latest Kanye West drama
Kim Kardashian is reportedly at her tethered end as she tries to get help for Kanye West, after admitting she feels “powerless”.
Kim Kardashian is reportedly meeting with divorce lawyers as she grapples with Kanye West’s latest meltdown, in which he launched public accusations at his wife and her mother, Kris Jenner, in a series of tweets.
Among the many posts, the rapper and father-of-four, 43, claimed Jenner and Kardashian “put out a statement without my approval”, writing “white supremacy” and claiming in a further tweet that he has been “trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek (rapper Meek Mill) at the (Waldorf) for ‘prison reform’”.
The latest flurry of tweets came just one day after West posted, then deleted, a number of claims that his family “tried to lock him up” following a rambling presidential campaign rally in South Carolina, in which he cried while saying that he and Kardashian had once contemplated aborting their daughter North West, 7.

On Wednesday evening, Kardashian broke her silence and begged for “empathy” amid her husband’s “incredibly complicated and painful” bipolar disorder, admitting the family feels “powerless” to help him.
And according to US Weekly, the reality TV star and cosmetics mogul is now considering a separation.
“Kim has been meeting with lawyers to explore and talk about divorce,” a source told the publication.
Kardashian has been divorced twice previously, from first husband Damon Thomas in 2004 and from Kris Humphries in 2013.
Meanwhile, sources also told The Sun that Kardashian has been planning an intervention for her husband of six years in order to get him the help he needs.
“Kanye needs medical help. His friends know he’s had a hard time managing his medications in the past but this time things are very different,” the insider said.
“His behaviour and his harmful statements have taken this situation to a whole new level of scary for Kim.”
The source added Kardashian feels her hands are tied when it comes to her husband.
“She wants to help him by getting him the right doctor but Kanye isn’t willing to accept any help,” they revealed.
“An intervention is the next step. Those closest to Kim and Kanye have joined together and discussed ways to approach him.
“They know it’s time for an intervention but making that happen peacefully will be a huge challenge.
“Kim has put up with many of Kanye’s ups and downs but this is different.
“In her eyes, the bizarre lies about North are unforgivable and their closest friends worry this was the final straw.”
In Kardashian’s statement, posted to her Instagram account, she defended West and made mention of his bipolar disorder.
“Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand,” she wrote.
“I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health.”

But Kardashian noted she felt compelled to speak “today” because “of the stigma and misconceptions of mental health”.
“Those that understand mental illness or compulsive behaviour know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor. People who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgmental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard the family try.”
