Kim Kardashian brutally booed onstage at Tom Brady’s roast
The reality TV star was greeted by a flurry of boos from a crowd that appeared frustrated with her presence.
Kim Kardashian was booed on stage while addressing comedian Kevin Hart during Sunday night’s live The Roast of Tom Brady.
At the glitzy event, the former NFL superstar and quarterback was brutally skewered by countless celebs all in the name of fun.
“I know a lot of people make fun of your height,” said the Skims founder, who didn’t get to finish her roast before receiving a wave of boos.
The crowd’s displeasure in seeing Kardashian at the roast at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles roared, seemingly forcing Hart chime in to help the reality star out during the awkward live moment.
“Woah, woah, woah,” Hart was heard saying.
Kardashian, 43, kept her cool and smirked, telling audience members they can relax with the sneers.
“Alright, alright, alright,” she teased.
Eventually, the naysayers were overpowered by cheers from attendees in the room, including Brady and Hart, who let the 43-year-old continue her monologue.
“Alright, Kevin,” Kardashian continued. “I know a lot of people make fun of you …”
Despite the haters, the mother-of-four beamed onstage wearing a black strapless dress with layered diamond-encrusted necklaces and platinum blonde hair.
Kardashian went on to address the rumours that once swirled that she and Brady were dating. “I know there were some rumours that we were, and I’d never say if we did or not,” she said. “I’d just release a tape.”
“But I do know it would never work out,” noting that Brady is a former athlete with strong cheekbones and “silky hair.”
“You remind me too much of my stepdad now,” she quipped of Caitlyn Jenner. “Oh, part of me thinks you would want to [date] me just to try on my clothes. I know the transition from the NFL must have been really hard. But I think my stepdad is a great example for you. She’s one of the best athletes in the world who proved you can do anything in this next chapter of your life. You can become a commentator or a far-right-wing Republican or even a strong confident woman.”
She added: “Honestly, it’s hard for me to watch people roast you. But I think enough of my family members have helped defend former football players,” she joked of her late father, Robert Kardashian, who was on O.J. Simpson’s defence team during the latter’s murder trial.
Although the night was dedicated to roasting the former Patriots quarterback, Kardashian left the evening feeling grilled.
Brady, 46, also appeared uncomfortable at the event during numerous points of the evening.
After comedian Jeff Ross made a quip about Brady and Patriots owner Robert Kraft and a “massage,” the quarterback was seen popping up from his seat to tell Ross directly in front of the crowd: “Don’t say that s**t again.”
