KHLOE Kardashian has broken her silence on the three-day brothel binge of sex, drugs and alcohol that left estranged husband Lamar Odom fighting for his life.
“The past week has been incredibly difficult,” the reality star said in a statement posted to her website.
“I am so thankful to family, friends, and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar. I also want to take a moment to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work. Under their amazing care, incredible strides have been made. You can never be prepared for an experience like this, but without the outpouring of love and endless prayers that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved ones, it would have been difficult to endure. Thank you for your continued support. God is great!!!”
The statement is the first time Khloé has spoken directly about Odom’s bender, which ended Oct. 13, when two hookers at the Love Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada, found him unconscious and called 911.
Doctors later revealed that the two-time NBA champion had “virtually every drug imaginable” in his system when he was brought to the hospital.
Odom spent four days in a coma before waking up Oct. 16. Sources said he told Khloé “Hey, baby” the minute he woke up.
The only other public statements that Khloé or any of the Kardashians have made were directed to the owner of the Love Ranch, Dennis Hof.
In a statement last week, the family urged the Nevada brothel magnate to “respect Lamar’s — and Khloé’s — privacy during this difficult time and refrain from talking to the press.”
While both Odom and Khloé have signed their divorce documents after splitting in 2013, the pair is still legally married.
The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star stood by her estranged husband’s side Monday night as he was discharged from Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. Sources told People magazine that she later accompanied him on his flight to Los Angeles.
Odom is expected to undergo six hours of dialysis a day at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after sources revealed Tuesday that his “kidneys are shot.”
