Katie Price speaks after attack at Essex home, as man remains in police custody
British star Katie Price is “in shock” after she was allegedly assaulted “unprovoked” in her own home, as a man remains in police custody.
British personality Katie Price has spoken out after she was taken to hospital in the early hours of Monday morning following an alleged attack.
The 43-year-old said she was “in shock” and “devastated” by the incident, which has seen a man in his 30s taken into police custody.
Price, a mother of five, said she ran to her 19-year-old son’s Harvey’s house after being “punched” at her Essex property.
“I’ve got a big bruise, my face is all puffy, and I went to hospital. I’m still all dazed. I’m devastated. I’ve told police that I was assaulted, and am in shock that this happened,” Price told The Sun.
“I ran away after being punched. I ran to Harvey’s house nearby and have now done damage to my feet, which I previously injured.
“The fight was unprovoked. I was just sitting there watching telly when the assault happened.
“I can’t say any more.”
Police were called after the incident occurred at a property in Essex in the UK, who then called for paramedics to attend.
Essex police said in a statement: “We were called by colleagues in the ambulance service to reports of an assault shortly after 1.30am this morning, Monday 23 August.
“We arrived and found a woman had sustained a facial injury which required hospital treatment.
“A man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of assault. He remains in custody.”

In a further statement, Essex police added: “Our investigations are continuing at the scene today.”
Police, along with friends and family — including Price’s sister Sophie — were pictured at the house this afternoon, local time.
They were seen collecting various items of clothing from the property. A make-up artist and a hairdresser, who had arrived to film Price’s latest reality show, were turned away at the door.
Earlier, a source close to Price said: “Katie is, understandably, utterly devastated. She was taken to hospital in an ambulance where she was treated for a suspected jaw fracture and split eye.”
Price became engaged to her boyfriend, Carl Woods, following a whirlwind 10-month romance earlier this year, with the couple openly talking about trying for a baby.
The pair uploaded a selfie on their Instagram stories on Sunday night, just hours before the alleged attack, as they enjoyed “family time” with two of Price’s children, Jett and Bunny Hayler.
