Karl and Jasmine share first official baby bump photo
Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough have treated fans to a first official pic of her growing baby bump – and it’s all for a good cause.
Karl Stefanovic and wife Jasmine Yarbrough have treated fans to a first official look at her growing baby bump, with the couple expecting their first child in May.
The pair shared the stunning black-and-white pic as part of an ovarian cancer campaign. Both are wearing T-shirts designed by Camilla and Marc, with proceeds going to ovarian cancer research.
“If this campaign means that we could help one woman detect this early, if we could just save one life, this will all be worth it. The devastating impact this disease has is generational – for daughters, mothers, sisters and wives and not forgetting the sons, fathers, brothers and husbands that experience the loss of a loved one too soon,” Ms Yarbrough wrote.
Stefanovic posted a different photo from the same shoot on his Instagram account, writing: “I will stand beside you, wearing my T-shirt and posting in support to help eradicate this disease.”
Stefanovic last week confirmed the due date and gender of his baby with Ms Yarbrough, saying he “can’t wait to meet his little princess”.
The Today co-host opened up about his wife’s first pregnancy with 9Honey, revealing Ms Yarbrough will give birth to their baby girl in May.
“We are really excited,” Stefanovic told 9Honey on Friday.
“Jasmine looks so beautiful and is handling pregnancy in such an incredible way. Our whole family can’t wait to meet our little princess.”
Jasmine and Stefanovic’s “little princess” will be a half-sister to his three children Jackson, 20, River, 12, and Ava, 14 from his marriage to Cassandra Thorburn.
It comes as Thorburn is expected to reveal more details about the bitter breakdown of their 21-year marriage tomorrow in the new podcast series Divorce Story – Surviving Separation.
Stefanovic and Thorburn announced their break-up in 2016.
In October 2017, she told Woman’s Day that her ex-husband was now “dead” to her.
“The children still have a father but I don’t have a husband,” she said. “He really is dead to me, and no, we won’t ever be friends again.”
The new podcast series, being released by New Idea magazine, will be co-hosted by Thorburn and journalist Annaliese Dent.
Just five months after his 2016 split from Thorburn, Stefanovic began a relationship with Ms Yarbrough, whom he married in December 2018.
