KANYE West and John Legend have showed nothing will come between their friendship — even the rapper’s love for Donald Trump.

KANYE West accused good friend John Legend of manipulating him this week in a series of texts the rapper posted on Twitter.

However, the pair has showed that they are still good mates, posing together for a photo at Legend’s wife, Chrissy Teigen’s baby shower.

West even posted a photo of Legend playing the piano.

“Lead with love,” he captioned the video

Rumours swirled that the friends might be on the outer after West shared text messages sent from Legend urging him to rethink his support for Donald Trump.

“Hey it’s JL. I hope you’ll reconsider aligning yourself with Trump,” Legend wrote. “You’re way too powerful and influential to endorse who he is and what he stands for. As you know, what you say really means something to your fans.

“They are loyal to you and respect your opinion. So many people who love you feel so betrayed right now because they know the harm that Trump’s policies cause, especially to people of colour,” he continued. “Don’t let this be part of your legacy. You’re the greatest artist of our generation.”

However West wasn’t about to be shifted on his position.

“I love you John and I appreciate your thoughts. You bringing up my fans or my legacy is a tactic based on fear used to manipulate my free thought,” he wrote.

West later defended his decision to post texts between him and Legend.

“I tweeted the John text to show that there are people around me that disagree with me and voice their opinion. I respect everyone’s opinion but I stand my ground,” he said.
