KANYE West has checked out of an LA hospital after receiving more than a week of treatment for his mental breakdown, according to TMZ.

The media outlet claims the troubled rapper is now at home with his wife Kim Kardashian and their two young children, North and Saint.

The 39-year-old was rushed to hospital on November 21 after reportedly suffering a “temporary psychosis” as a result of exhaustion.

West was reportedly “having nightmares” about his wife Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery in the weeks before his breakdown, according to US Weekly.

Sources say Kim’s robbery took a heavy toll on the rapper.

A source close to the singer told the magazine that “he’s been shaken up ever since the robbery in Paris”.

The source said: “It did a number on him as much as Kim. The mere thought that anything could happen to her sent him in a tailspin. He wasn’t sleeping and he was having nightmares about it.”

In late October Kardashian was tied up, threatened with a gun and robbed of millions of dollars worth of jewellery by armed and masked assailants.

Overnight West’s stepbrother Hal Carmichael broke the family’s silence on the rapper’s condition, supporting claims the robbery had affected him more than people had realised.

Speaking to The Sun, Carmichael said: “No one thought Paris would happen in a million years and now he’s seen it happen to Kim, it’s traumatising.

“Ye is tired, he’s hurt, he feels betrayed and he’s probably feeling depressed.

“It’s like, who can he trust? You can’t trust anyone, even the people you’ve been paying to protect you. They haven’t been doing their jobs correctly.

“I think Kanye got to a point when he was fearing for his life and for his family’s safety because of what went down in Paris. I think it took a toll on him.”
