Actress Julia Fox has revealed she’s open to dating women in a wildly unfiltered new interview.

The Uncut Gems star, 32, is set to appear on US comedian Ziwe’s talk show this week, in which she admits she has taken herself off the market, but hasn’t ruled out dating women.

When asked if she’s currently dating, mum-of-one Fox responded: “No, why would I want to waste my time,” to which Ziwe asked whether she’s “tried dating women”.

“I, like, have been thinking about it lot recently, because I do think I have a gay bone and I need to explore that a little bit more … Like maybe my ex-boyfriends weren’t wrong when they were calling me a lesbian and complaining that I didn’t want to have sex with them,” the star said.
“I can find love in all places and all races,” she added. “Not white, first of all. I don’t know honestly, they all are equally horrible to be honest. All men … It’s just a man thing.”

Last week, in another snippet from another recent interview, Fox opened up about how her career as a dominatrix has made her look at sex through a different lens.

“Sex for me always has been one-sided, but I think all women can say that. So it’s like, if I don’t really need anything from you, I don’t see the point,” Fox told model Emily Ratajkowski on the podcast High Low With EmRata.

“I’m really desensitised to sex, too. Like, it’s just – it’s not thrilling for me.”

Ratajkowski responded that she “likes sex,” and Fox shared: “See, I don’t. I can go without. I’m, like, so good.”

“I think when you’re sexualised so young, people think you’re really sexual,” Ratajkowski said. “And that’s always been a thing, [since] you were a dominatrix and everything.”

Fox has previously shared that she started working in a “basement dungeon” at just 18 years old, getting paid to fulfil men’s fantasies.

She told Paper magazine in September that she was asked to portray various roles such as an “evil teacher, domineering mother, nun or nurse”.

The actress and model revealed she never had intercourse with her clients, but that the relationships were “transactional”.

“I pretty much, in my teens, learned that I was a commodity and that I can get money or resources from men, so then it just became this game of, OK, how do I become more desirable so I could get more money and I could be like that b**ch,” Fox said.

“It’s still them giving me the power. It’s not my own power, you know? So it’s a humiliating kind of position to be in, or humbling, rather.”

While Fox said she’s OK now, there’s been damage done from her past experiences.

“Especially when you’re not in it anymore and you look back and you’re like, ‘Oh, my God, I can’t believe … ’” she trailed off.

She said she would “disassociate” in order to get through some interactions.

“It’s crazy, but it’s a survival mechanism,” she said. “We do it to live, which is insane.”

Fox was previously married to Peter Artemiev, with whom she has a one-year-old son, and she recently got out of a short relationship with Kanye West, who she said impacted her career “not in a good way”.
