Jamie Foxx remains hospitalised nearly one week after he “experienced a medical complication” that forced him to stop filming his upcoming movie Back in Action.

The actor is still in a medical facility in Atlanta undergoing tests as doctors seek answers as to what caused the issue, a source confirmed to People on Monday.

They added that Foxx is steadily improving, but his health condition has still not been disclosed, reports Page Six.

Three days prior, another insider told CNN that the 55-year-old Django Unchained star was under observation by medical professionals who were “still trying to figure out what exactly happened.”

“They are running tests,” the source told the outlet.

Page Six reached out to Foxx’s representative for comment.

The Oscar winner’s daughter Corinne revealed his health scare in a lengthy Instagram post on Wednesday.

“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” the 29-year-old captioned a message from “the Foxx family.”

The statement continued, “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”

Foxx was on the set of his upcoming movie with Cameron Diaz, Back in Action, one day prior to the medical issue.

While production was reportedly “shut down” on Wednesday in the wake of Foxx’s plight, his stunt double was photographed on set the following day as production started again in his absence.

Foxx’s family has yet to give an update on his condition, or give details about what happened, but a source told People over the weekend that he is “steadily improving.”

Meanwhile, many of his celebrity friends, including LeBron James and Viola Davis, have sent their well-wishes on social media.

Kerry Washington also honoured her “movie huzbin” with a sweet message.

“A @iamjamiefoxx appreciation post,” she captioned a picture with her Ray co-star on Instagram Thursday. “Sending you all the love and prayers.”

Foxx’s health struggles come weeks after he returned to the Back in Action set following an alleged meltdown.

The incident, which reportedly led him to fire the film’s executive producer, two directors and his driver, also is said to have caused Diaz, 50, to quit acting again.
