Jackie O Henderson asked how much she earns in viral US TikTok

A viral TikTok star unknowingly stumbled upon Australia’s radio queen holidaying in LA for his popular “how much do you earn” video.

A US TikTok sensation unwittingly stumbled upon Australian radio queen Jackie ‘O’ Henderson while filming one of his viral videos.

‘Mister Lewis’, who has 400,000 followers on the platform, has made a name for himself thanks to his popular vox pops, in which he trawls affluent areas in Los Angeles and asks strangers how much they earn.

In his latest video, filmed in January, the social media personality was blissfully unaware he was speaking to one of Australia’s most wealthy showbiz stars during her holiday in the US.

Mister Lewis bailed up the KIIS FM co-host, 48, and her 12-year-old daughter, Catalina ‘Kitty’ Mae, on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, where he asked her what she does for a living. “[I’m a] radio announcer,” Jackie said.

He then asked how much she earns a year, to which an awkward Jackie said, “I don’t know.”

Mister Lewis guessed, “$150,000?” to which Jackie giggled and said, “Right, yeah.”

It's little wonder Jackie laughed at the proposed figure, with the radio star reportedly raking in around $7 – $8 million annually.

Mister Lewis didn’t end his line of questioning there, asking Jackie if she “owns or rents”.

The Sydney star confessed she was indeed a homeowner, before Mister Lewis questioned how much her home was worth.

“Oh my god, I can’t say that …” Jackie laughed. “Can I guess?” Mister Lewis asked. “Your house is over a million?”

Jackie responded, “Yeah.”

Times that figure by about a dozen, Mister Lewis. Jackie recently made headlines for selling her dream Woollahra home for $13 million, making a $2 million profit after purchasing it for $11 million in 2020.

Jackie O is one of the highest paid stars in Australia.

Many took to the comments section of the video, which so far has 47,000 likes, to poke fun at Mister Lewis for unknowingly talking to a bona fide star, with one even claiming Jackie earns more than any radio personality in the US.

One wrote, “In 2019 Kyle & Jackie ‘O’ signed an $80 million contract with the Australian Radio Network. They’re the highest-paid radio personalities in the world.”

Another said, “Wait until he finds out who she is”, while a third wrote, “Love that she’s being humble and not giving too much away instead of bragging. Us aussies know though.”

Meanwhile, Jackie returned to airwaves in mid-January alongside her long-time host and friend, Kyle Sandilands.

The dynamic duo were reunited after Jackie took extended sick leave, telling listeners in November she was suffering from long Covid symptoms.

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O signed the biggest media deal in Australian history back in 2019.

Kyle and Jackie are two of the highest paid personalities in Australia, having re-signed with ARN in 2019, which will see them remain on-air until the end of 2024.

News.com.au reported at the time the new contracts guarantee Kyle and Jackie between $7-8 million each per year.

The staggering deal means they get paid more than $39,000 each per three-and-a-half hour radio show.
