The 20,000 square foot room is decked out like a magical enchanted forest, with a two-tier stage taking pride of place.
The guests are entertained throughout the evening by a number of musical acts, including Australia's Jessica Mauboy.

There are bound to be a few sore heads tomorrow thanks to the night's official drink, the Grey Goose Emmy cocktail (1 ½ parts Grey Goose Le Citron, 1 part St. Germain Liqueur, 1 ½ parts cucumber juice, and ½ part fresh lime juice), garnished with a cucumber wheel, rosemary sprig, and edible silver flakes.
A handful of high-rollers had best avoid the grog, given their history of alcohol abuse.
Among them are Robin Williams, Elton John, Tracy Morgan and Michael J. Fox who will all be sticking to the waters ... hopefully.
For entree, the stars are treated to a gem lettuce salad, with basil-scented mozzarella and marinated sun-ripened tomatoes.
For mains it's beef filet mignon and red wine-braised short rib, with potato-pear gratin and asparagus.
For the less health conscious celebrities (we're looking at you Eric Stonestreet) the dessert 'caramelia namelaka' (made of devil's food cake, roasted cherries, and mascarpone cream) will definitely hit the spot.

While the majority of the Emmy guests are attending, some simply found the ceremony too draining to make it to the after party.
Kelly Osbourne posted a photo to Instagram with the caption, "Already in my comfies trying not to fall asleep as I have to finish work but it's proving to be difficult! #emmys day was a long day!"
