Tobey Maguire splits from wife Jennifer Meyer
TOBEY Maguire has split from his wife of nine years, with the pair releasing a statement saying they remained focused on raising their two kids together.
IT’S over for Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer.
The New York Post reports that the couple have called it quits after nine years of marriage.
“After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple,” they told People in a joint statement. “As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect and friendship.”
Maguire, 41, and Meyer, 39, are parents to 9-year-old Ruby and 7-year-old Otis.
While the actor hasn’t starred in anything since playing chess grand master Bobby Fisher in 2014’s Pawn Sacrifice, he was on hand to celebrate his good mate Leonardo DiCaprio‘s Oscar win last February.
A day before the announcement, Meyer, a jeweller, posted an image of a heart-shaped ring to her Instagram account captioned “Monday morning blues.”
Meyer’s BFF is actress Kate Hudson. She is also close to other celebs such as Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Reece Witherspoon and Stella McCartney.
