There is no contest in who will get custody of the couple’s 15 pets

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have reportedly decided who gets custody of their seven dogs, two horses, two mini horses, three cats and a pig.

The pets are staying with mama.

The menagerie of animals owned by Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus will go to Cyrus following their impending divorce, according to TMZ.

Together, Cyrus and Hemsworth have seven dogs, two horses, two mini horses, three cats and a pig.

A source says that Cyrus will have “custody” of all 15 pets and that Hemsworth will not put up a fight, although he could if he wanted to.

A Californian law allows judges to rule on which owner is most fit to keep the pets, or assign owners joint custody.

Cyrus is credited with being the one to acquire most of the pets in the first place, mainly through adoption.

It was Hemsworth, however, who saved the pets from the Californian wildfires that razed the former couple’s Malibu home among hundreds of others and 96,000 acres of land outside of Los Angeles.

Cyrus wasn’t at home at the time.

Speaking about Hemsworth’s heroism on Howard Stern’s radio show last year, Cyrus said:

“Liam, I have never loved him more for this. He was so incredible, he got all the animals out in his truck, he got two pigs in crates which I tell you is so hard.

I said how did you get them out and said the only thing I could do was get a really powerful hose and spray them in the a — s.”

Hemsworth went to some lengths to corral the creatures, including literally herding cats.

“The cats have never really been outside and he started opening the door trying to get them in and out and one cat just ran away and I’m so glad he didn’t just say ‘OK you don’t know what you are running into’ and got them.”

Meanwhile, pop royalty Madonna has weighed in following Cyrus’ lengthy spiel on social media yesterday.

Cyrus owned a number of her past ‘bad’ behaviours before saying that she has “grown up”.

“I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating,” she said.

Madonna commented. “Thank GOD!! You are human! A woman who has lived. No need to apologise!!”

Following their romantic tryst sailing in Italy, Cyrus and new squeeze Kaitlynn Carter appear to be going strong, lunching with Cyrus’ mum Tish in Los Angeles and sending Carter’s ex Brody Jenner a “weed bouquet” for his birthday.

Cyrus, Hemsworth, Carter and Jenner have reportedly been friends a while and used to hang out as couples.

Hemsworth has been keeping a low profile with friends and family in Byron Bay and recently cancelled a promotional tour for his new movie Killerman.
