Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth may finalise their divorce sooner than expected
Kaitlynn Carter and Brody Jenner have fuelled speculation they were in a polyamorous relationship.
Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus could be divorced by Halloween.
According to reports published in The Blast, negotiations between the pair have been “amicable” and the divorce is on track to being finalised by October 31.
Meanwhile, in a trailer for an upcoming episode of The Hills, Cyrus’ new flame Kaitlynn Carter and her ex-partner Brody Jenner allude to their polyamorous past.
“She’s just, like, asking about your relationship,” Carter’s friend says of Stephanie Pratt during a FaceTime call. “She’s like, ‘I don’t know. Isn’t there someone else, like, involved?’”
The Selfé founder, 30, replies, “What does she mean by that?” to which her friend responds, “She thinks you guys are like in this, like, polyamorous relationship.”
Brody Jenner quickly chimes in. “That’s none of her business. You know, we just, we like what we like.”
Carter then elaborates on the situation in a solo confessional.
“When Brody and I first were together, we were young, we were crazy, we were, like, you know, basically just trying to have the time of our lives,” she said. “So we did a lot of things in our relationship that, you know, I certainly wouldn’t say I regret, but the level of gossip that I feel happens in the group — it just makes me angry.”
Hemsworth filed for divorce last Wednesday, less than nine months after Cyrus and Hemsworth married on December 23, 2018.
He has enlisted the help of celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, whose past clients include Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie and Kim Kardashian.
It’s said that both Hemsworth and Cyrus are having their lawyers write up the paperwork so that they’ll be able to sign the documents as soon as possible.
The pair officially announced their split on August 10, though sources close to the couple say they had been separated for months.
Hours after the announcement, Cyrus was photographed kissing reality TV star Kaitlynn Carter on a boat in Italy.
Carter had just announced her split with reality TV star Brody Jenner the week prior.
The two couples had been close friends and neighbours in Malibu prior to Carter and Cyrus hooking up.
Back in LA, Cyrus and Carter have been snapped lunching with Cyrus’ mum Tish, and on Monday night Cyrus performed new track Slide Away livefor the first time at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York.
The track is believed to be about Hemsworth and his hard-partying ways that allegedly contributed to the split.
Carter and Cyrus were canoodling backstage, according to sources.
Hemsworth has been keeping a low profile in Byron Bay since the split.
