The Bachelor’s Laura Byrne candidly discusses sex life with Matty J

The Bachelor’s Laura Byrne, who found love with Matty J in 2017, has given confronting details about their sex life on her podcast.

The Bachelor success story Matty Johnson and Laura Byrne welcomed their first child in 2018.

And Ms Byrne, 33, has opened up about their romance after giving birth to daughter Marie-Mae, opening up about their sex life and revealing confronting details about the state of her nether region.

Speaking on her podcast Life Uncut, the former reality star, who won Matty’s heart on the 2017 edition of the show, said it was hard to get back into the swing of things post birth.

“The doctors tell you that you’ll be ready to have sex at the six week mark … but I was not ready,” she said.

“I was so tired and the thought of having sex would make me want to cry … So we had sex at about eight weeks.

“I had a lot of stitches so I was expecting it to be horrific.”

But Ms Byrne, who is engaged to Matty, said it wasn’t as bad as she had feared.

“It didn’t hurt and it wasn’t scary,” she said.

“It was exactly how I had remembered it being, nothing seemed any different.”

While that may have been the same, Ms Byrne said her body wasn’t, describing her private areas as “swollen” and described it as feeling like a “bee sting”.

In a podcast earlier this year discussing New Year’s resolutions, Ms Byrne said she wanted to “have more sex” with her fiance.

“I’m getting back on that bandwagon,” she said.

“The less of it you have, the less of it you need.

“As much as we absolutely love each other, there are aspects of our relationship that have been massively put on the backburner.

“I just want to reshuffle my life and put our relationship back up the pile.”

The couple plan to wed toward the end of this year.
