Sydney Sweeney reportedly postpones wedding to longtime fiance
The Hollywood actor has reportedly put her planned wedding on hiatus, with claims it was set to take place in Chicago this May.
Sydney Sweeney has reportedly postponed her planned May wedding to long-time partner Jonathan Davino.
The US actor, 27, was apparently set to walk down the aisle in Chicago in the coming months, according to TMZ, though the outlet reports Sweeney’s nuptials have now been put on ice.
Sources told the publication the delay was due to both Sweeney and Davino’s busy schedules.
Davino, 41, popped the question to Sweeney in February 2022 after four years of dating.
The pair keep a low profile, and are rarely photographed publicly together.
The couple work closely together producing films for Sweeney’s production company, Fifty-Fifty Films.
The Euphoria star shared photos with Davino to ring in the New Year, giving fans a rare glimpse into their love life.
In one snap, Sweeney could be seen passionately kissing her husband-to-be, presumably on New Year’s Eve.
Sweeney was forced to defend her relationship after she became the subject of unconfirmed affair rumours with her Anyone But You co-star Glen Powell for several months throughout 2023 and into last year.
The Hollywood duo filmed the rom-com in Sydney, Australia in early 2023, and fans pointed our their strong chemistry during the promo trail.
Both Sweeney and Powell, 35, have since admitted to leaning into romance rumours in a bid to promote the film, which was a box office success making more than $200 million globally.
Sweeney has previously opened up about wanting to keep her romantic life as private as possible.
“Everyone is always so curious about who I’m with and what’s that like, but I think it’s important to have something for me,” she told Glamour UK in December last year.
“I’m very open [otherwise]. I talk about so much and sometimes it gets me in trouble, but I do try to keep something for me.”
