Sophie Monk dating a man she met and kissed on a plane

SOPHIE Monk has confirmed she’s off the market after meeting and falling for a “random” she met on a recent flight.

SOPHIE Monk has revealed she’s in a new relationship with a man she met and pashed on a recent flight.

The Love Island host told KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O this morning that she met the fella on a plane after filming a travel show in Italy.

“I was so exhausted and I got on the plane and my hair extensions were falling out,” the former Bardot singer said. “I had my eyelashes coming down my face.

“I’m sitting next to this random and it was business class but there was no divider.”

Monk explained they both ordered a champagne and she started having a chat to the “random”.

“He was so charming and funny and he had no idea what I did,” she told the radio hosts.

Monk said the guy is an Australian but is based overseas, and after three champagne’s she decided to make a bold move.

“I was sitting there for a while and I went, ‘Hey, um, are you single?’ And he went, ‘Yeah.’ I went, ‘I don’t ever get to meet people in normal scenarios and, um, can I kiss you?’

“I thought, ‘Oh god I’ve got a 10-hour flight with this guy, if he says no I’m in trouble,’” Monk said.

But the guy was bang up for it and the two of them went to separate bathrooms on the plane to brush their teeth before locking lips.

“The lights were down, everyone else was asleep,” Monk said. “I went, ‘OK, shall we do this?’ And we kissed.”

The Bachelorette star said she and the mystery man made out for “a couple of hours” but was adamant it didn’t go any further than that.

“We’ve not stopped speaking ever since,” she said. “He’s not using me, he doesn’t need anything.”

“Are you boyfriend and girlfriend?” Jackie O asked.

“Yeah,” Monk confirmed.

“How many times have you seen him?” Kyle said.

“Once … on the plane,” Monk answered, laughing.

“When I say it out loud it doesn’t really make sense … but it does to me,” she said. “I feel like it’s going to work. He’s normal, down to earth, intelligent. He thinks I’m smart, that’s the problem.”

Monk told the KIIS FM that her new man lives overseas and she has plans to meet up with him soon. Hopefully she doesn’t meet someone else on the flight over.
