SOURCES say Joaquin Phoenix fell for his co-star Rooney Mara while filming their biblical movie Mary Magdalene in Italy.
ROONEY Mara and Joaquin Phoenix are getting serious, sources say, after the New York Post reported the duo fell for each other while playing Mary Magdalene and Jesus Christ.
The two actors and past Oscar nominees, who star in the new film Mary Magdalene, were photographed inside an SUV while leaving the We Care Detox Spa and Spiritual Retreat in Desert Hot Springs, California, reports E News.
“They are madly in love,” says a source. “His friends are like, ‘Forget it, it is on’,” reports the New York Post.
Another source saw the pair recently looking very cosy on a flight together.
The New York Post first reported the pair were holed up at a desert spa together over Golden Globes weekend. This month they were also seen together grocery shopping in LA.
The duo both starred in the 2013 movie Her.
