Rami Malek sparks dating rumours with The Crown star Emma Corrin
Just days after his long-term relationship breakdown became public, Rami Malek is reportedly now dating one of the stars of The Crown.
Rami Malek and Emma Corrin have sparked dating rumours following a number of loved-up sightings.
The Oscar winning Bohemian Rhapsody actor, 42, and The Crown star, 27, were spotted on a date this week at the Buoy and Oyster restaurant in Kent, UK, according to The Sun.
“Rami and Emma were very low-key and when fans approached them for pictures, they politely declined,” a witness told the publication.
“They were very passionate and looking into each other’s eyes. They kissed and didn’t seem to mind who could see.”
The duo reportedly shared a $250 seafood platter and two bottles of wine during the intimate date on Wednesday.
Malek and Corrin were first spotted looking cosy at Bruce Springsteen’s BST Hyde Park concert in London on July 8, which was captured by photographers but attracted little fanfare at the time, given Malek’s split had not been made public.
But news emerged at the weekend that Malek had broken up with his actress girlfriend Lucy Boynton, 29, who he met on-set of the Queen biopic in 2018.
It’s understood the pair broke up earlier this year.
“Rami and Lucy split earlier this year without much fanfare,” a source told The Sun.
“They were together for a long time but had grown apart. They are both moving on with their lives and are busy with work. Rami has surrounded himself with his mates and has spent the summer enjoying himself.”
Malek and Boynton played onscreen love interests in Bohemian Rhapsody, in which Malek portrayed the late Freddie Mercury, while Boynton starred as Mary Austin.
The No Time To Die star declared his love for Boynton onstage while accepting the Academy Award for Best Actor in 2019.
“Lucy Boynton, you are the heart of this film, you are beyond immensely talented, you have captured my heart,” he said.
The pair are yet to comment on their split.
Meanwhile Corrin, who identifies as non-binary, achieved worldwide recognition after playing Princess Diana in season 4 of Netflix’s The Crown in 2020.
They were previously linked to set designer Ibby Njoya.
In an interview with Vogue in July last year, Corrin spilt on their first date since publicly coming out as queer in 2021.
“My first date with a girl, they were like, ‘Oh! You’re a baby queer!’” Corrin said. “It was amazing. We actually didn’t end up seeing each other again, but she really gave me the lowdown.”
