After an unforgettable stint as the Australian Bachelor in 2018, it seems Nick Cummins has finally made a choice — going public with his new girlfriend.

Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins has gone public with his new girlfriend more than two years after his infamous season of The Bachelor.

After shocking the nation by picking no one in the dramatic 2018 finale of the Channel 10 show, the former rugby union star went Instagram official with new girlfriend Alexandra George on Tuesday, sharing a sweet couple photo on a boat.

Followers flocked to the comments with their reactions to the 32-year-old’s new romance, including rugby player Drew Mitchell, who quipped: “Good to see you finally made a choice Badge!!”

“Very happy for you both, you look very happy,” another said, while one more added: ”Aww looks like you found love! #happiness.”

It was first rumoured the SAS Australia star was dating George in June last year, with the two reportedly spending lockdown together on the mid-north coast of New South Wales.

After sending both Brittany Hockley and Sophie Tieman home in The Bachelor 2018 finale, Cummins was linked to chicken heiress Lucy Steggles, who he met shortly after hiking the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea with a group of friends for charity.

The Bach star kept largely under the radar until returning to screens in last year’s premiere season of SAS Australia.

Back in November, Cummins showed off his staggering weight loss after passing the gruelling course on the Channel 7 series finale.

Sharing side-by-side photos of himself before and after the show, the Honey Badger wrote: “Went into SAS ready for battle, left SAS looking like a lollipop. Food deprivation made the experience multiple times harder, especially when enduring the cold.”

The reality star also sustained the most serious injury on the show, requiring stitches for a nasty cut to his leg.

“The gash to Nick’s leg was pretty damn impressive,” chief medical adviser Dr Sam Hay told New Idea. “It was down to the bone, and he was millimetres away from a catastrophic injury. But a dozen stitches and daily dressings ensured he kept soldiering on.”
