JARED Leto struck out when he asked a female friend to help him ask for two models’ phone numbers at a Fashion Week bash.

JARED Leto struck out when he asked a female friend to help him ask for two models’ phone numbers at a New York Fashion Week bash.

The Oscar-nominated Dallas Buyers Club star, who regularly tops sexiest man polls, was chatting with and “twirling around” the models at Guess’ On the Road to Nashville party on Tuesday night, the New York Post reports.

After the dancing stopped, rather than approaching the ladies himself, Leto sent his friend over to get their numbers. But, to his surprise “They said no,” a source said.

The next day, he was 35 minutes late to Jeremy Scott’s showing and looked sheepish as he was escorted in by fashion publicist Kelly Cutrone.

The 42-year-old rocker has dated the likes of Ashley Olsen and Scarlett Johansson in the past.

The 30 Seconds to Mars frontman has returned to acting after a six year hiatus and made his big screen comeback in Dallas Buyers Club. He has been nominated for an Oscar for his role in the film.
