Lisa Bonet finally files for divorce from Jason Momoa 2 years after announcing break-up

Former Hollywood couple Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet have shared a major update in their split two years on.

Lisa Bonet has finally filed for divorce from Jason Momoa — almost exactly two years after announcing their break-up.

The Cosby Show star is asking for joint physical and legal custody of their two kids, Lola, 16, and Nakoa-Wolf, 15, according to court documents obtained by Page Six on Monday.

Bonet notably listed the pair’s date of separation as October 7, 2020, which is nearly a year and half before they revealed they were no longer together.

The twosome started dating in 2005. More than a decade later, they secretly tied the knot in October 2017.

The actors announced in January 2022 that they were going through a “transformational” time in their lives.

“A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception … feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring,” they wrote in a joint Instagram post.

“And so We share our Family news that we are parting ways in marriage. We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty.”

They released this statement on Instagram in January 2022.

Despite their split, the Aquaman star, 44, and the Angel Heart actress, 56, assured fans that there was nothing but love between them.

“The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become,” they wrote.

They concluded the post by saying their top priority was co-parenting their children.

Despite reconciliation rumours, the Dune star made it clear that the pair were not getting back together during an interview with Access Hollywood in March 2022.

“We’re not back together. We’re family. … We have two beautiful children together,” he told the outlet.

“We’re not getting back together. We’re family forever,” he reiterated.

Although Bonet — who was previously married to Lenny Kravitz and shares daughter Zoë with the rock star — has yet to publicly date anyone, Momoa was last linked to Eiza González.
