KIIS FM radio star Jackie O reveals why she’s ‘not ready’ to enter dating scene
KIIS FM radio star Jackie O has explained why she hasn’t been on a single date since splitting from her second husband in 2018.
Jackie O has revealed why she hasn’t been on a date in more than two years.
The KIIS FM radio star hasn’t been on a proper date since she separated from her second husband, Lee Henderson, in 2018.
“After 18 years together, we have made the decision to separate,” Jackie announced in a public statement at the time. “We do so amicably, sharing many incredible memories and remaining best friends,” the statement read.
“Our focus for this next chapter is of course our wonderful daughter and continuing to provide her love and happiness, together.”

In an exclusive interview with news.com.au alongside her radio partner, Kyle Sandilands, Jackie explained that she’s still “not ready to get out there into the dating world”.
“I just want to spend this time with my daughter (10-year-old Kitty),” Jackie told news.com.au. “She’s at an age where I think it’s really important for me to be focused on her and spend my time with her.”
“Jackie, you sound like she’s got leukaemia!” Kyle joked. “She’s fine. Get out and start dating!”
“No, I’m sensitive to her feelings about that issue,” Jackie replied. “So for me, I might wait a while.”
When asked if any male celebrities have “slid into her DMs” to ask her out, Jackie was coy.
“You mean actually asking me out? No,” she said.
“Don’t lie,” Kyle said to her.
“They haven’t, I don’t think so,” Jackie maintained. “They’ve been friendly. I like it where they just start a conversation, so that happens, but nothing’s happened.
“And don’t ask me to name names,” Jackie told news.com.au with a laugh.
JACKIE LIMITS HER DAUGHTER’S EXPOSURE
In addition to being the most successful duo in Australian broadcasting history, Kyle and Jackie O have also been responsible for some of the most outrageous and shocking stunts ever heard on radio.
In their 20-year on air history, the pair have sparked national outrage on several occasions by going too far with their stunts or comments.
“There were things we did that were terrible, I think,” Jackie O admitted on 60 Minutes last year.
Given her controversial past, news.com.au asked Jackie if she ever worries about her daughter googling her and learning about all of the incidents.
“She’s 10 now and she could definitely do it,” Jackie said about Kitty. “She just knows she doesn’t want to.
“She knows that mum gets up to things that are a little bit risqué sometimes and she’s just not interested – she really isn’t at this point. When she does and if she gets interested, I’ll cross that bridge, but right now I’m happy that she’s not googling me.”
“Jackie wants to move her to North Korea where there is no internet,” Kyle joked.
“That would be amazing,” Jackie laughed.
