Karl Stefanovic has reportedly finalised his divorce from Cassandra Thorburn

THE embattled TV host has reportedly finalised his divorce with Cassandra Thorburn, leaving his ex-wife with most of his assets.

KARL Stefanovic and his wife of 21 years Cassandra Thorburn have reportedly finalised their divorce — with the embattled TV host leaving with little more than his beloved Mercedes.

The former couple announced their marriage breakdown in October last year when Stefanovic moved out of the family home in North Sydney.

Despite numerous publications reporting the split was set to “turn ugly”, the couple settled their divorce in less than six months with Stefanovic reportedly walking away with roughly $500,000 worth of cash and assets.

As reported by The Sunday Telegraph, the Today host is leaving his wife with assets worth over $6 million as well as agreeing to fork out more money for ongoing payments and child support.

The couple share three children — Jackson, 17, Ava, 12 and River, 10.

The agreement also includes shared custody of the kids.

According to the publication, the Today host didn’t put up a fight, quickly agreeing to Thorburn’s requests.

Immediately after the news of their split broke, the former couple put their Lindfield family home up for sale.

Less than two weeks after it was listed, the home, which the family had lived in since 2010, sold for $3.8 million.

Thorburn is currently living in the couple’s other property in the North Sydney suburb of Cremorne. The property is valued at $8 million.

Stefanovic is currently the highest paid personality on Australian TV with Channel 9 reportedly paying him $3 million a year for his hosting role on Today.

Thorburn and Stefanovic both declined to comment when contacted by Newscorp Australia.
