‘It’s official’: The Bachelor’s Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich announce engagement
THEY found love on the first series of The Bachelor. And now Tim and Anna have shared some happy news on social media.
THE Bachelor’s Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich have announced they’re officially engaged.
Heinrich, 30, shared the happy news with her Instagram followers on Wednesday night.
“Officially forever #ENGAGED,” she captioned a snap of her and Robards, 34, sailing on a boat. She included an emoji of a ring.
Robards also shared the news on social media, telling fans how he popped the question.
“LOVE made me do it! On the weekend... in a little dinghy... floating on a secluded river...I asked this amazing woman to marry me... she said YES!!! Woohoo!!,” he captioned a snap of himself with his fiancee.
The blonde criminal lawyer first met the Bondi chiropractor as a contestant on the first series of The Bachelor Australia in 2013.
In February, rumours an engagement was inimented ramped up when the couple was spotted shopping for engagement rings.
In August, Heinreich spoke about the pressure the media puts on her relationship with Robards — whom she says is her “first boyfriend”.
“We know it’s always going to be there, but I think what’s really good about us is we haven’t just gotten married for everybody else. We’re doing it in our own time and when it happens, it’s as real as anyone else’s marriage,” she told Fairfax.
She added: “We know it’s all there and we know everyone is constantly watching and waiting (for us to get married), but I think that’s what I love about him so much, that he hasn’t sort of succumbed to the whole pressure. For us, it’s about getting to know each other and that’s exactly what we’re doing, we love each other’s company and it’s not so much about, “Let’s get married straight away to please other people”.
