‘It was a giant rock’: Jennifer Lawrence ‘engaged’ to boyfriend Cooke Maroney

The Oscar winner is set to marry her art gallery manager boyfriend after just eight months of dating.

Jennifer Lawrence is engaged to her boyfriend Cooke Maroney after just over eight months of dating, multiple US outlets have reported.

The Red Sparrow star was spotted wearing a “giant rock” on her engagement finger while at dinner in New York this week and has been telling friends about the news, Page Six reports.

“It was a giant rock. They seemed like they were celebrating and people were talking about it. The ring was very noticeable. They were sitting back in a corner. She was wearing a cute black dress with white polka dots,” a source told the publication.

Lawrence’s publicist has since confirmed to People the actress is set to marry Maroney.

The Hunger Games, 28, star began dating Maroney, 33, last June reportedly after being introduced by Lawrence’s friend Laura Simpson.

Since then the couple have been spotted frequently in New York and have holidayed together in Paris and Rome.

Maroney is art gallery manager based in New York and keeps a much lower profile than Lawrence’s other exes.

The actress previously dated director Darren Aronofsky, 49, for a year before splitting in late 2017 reportedly due to their 20 year age gap.

Prior to that Lawrence dated Nicholas Hoult for three years after they met while screen testing for X-Men: First Class in 2011.
