HOUSE of Cards actor Kate Mara is single again after splitting with her boyfriend of four years, actor Max Minghella.

Us Weekly reports that Mara, 21, and Minghella, 28, have been on and off for awhile but have finally decided to walk away from the relationship for good.

“Max and Kate have broken up and gotten back together a few times over the course of their relationship, but this one looks like it’s sticking,” an insider said. “The relationship just ran its course.”

The pair were introduced on the set of The Social Network by Mara’s sister, Rooney Mara.

Minghella is the son of Oscar-winning director Anthony Minghella.

Mara this week attended the 71st Venice International Film Festival with pal Lena Dunham on Thursday, before frocking up for the Miu Miu premiere.

Mara is about to be seen in the movie Transcendence with Johnny Depp and Morgan Freeman.

Minghella has been starring as Richie in The Mindy Project and has just started filming Into The Forest with Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood.
