Heidi Klum opens up about 17-year age gap with rocker boyfriend
SUPERMODEL Heidi Klum knows she’s set tongues wagging due to her relationship with her twenty-something rocker boyfriend — and she doesn’t care one bit.
STUNNING supermodel Heidi Klum has opened up about her relationship with her much younger boyfriend.
The Project Runway host, 45, is in a relationship with guitarist Tom Kaulitz, 28, of German band Tokio Hotel — and she knows their 17-year age gap has had a few tongues wagging.
“My boyfriend is many years younger than me, and lots of people are questioning that and asking about it,” Klum said in a new interview withInStyle. “That’s really the only time when age seems to be shoved in my face and I have to give an answer for it.
“I don’t really think about it that much otherwise. You have to just live a happy life without worrying too much about what people think because worrying is only going to give you more wrinkles.”
The German-born beauty is certainly young at heart — she’s famed for her increasingly bizarre and extravagant Halloween costumes, a tradition she’s been keeping alive for more than a decade now.
Elsewhere in the same interview, Klum admitted she had a relaxed approach to the ageing process.
“I don’t really think about getting older that much — I mean, know it’s happening to me, it’s happening to all of us. But it’s not like I wake up in the morning, look in the mirror, and say, ‘Oh my God, oh my God.’ Lately, I’m being reminded more about my age by people other than myself,” she said.
Klum last year revealed that her four children with ex-husband Seal are used to seeing their mum in various states of undress — including on her very popular Instagram account.
“They know I worked in the lingerie industry for a very long time so they have seen me like that,” she said.
“They’ve seen me sunbathing topless at home. Obviously not when their friends are coming over … So, yeah, they’re not like, ‘Oh, my God! What are you posting?!’”
